Changes proposed to RTI will make it useless Act: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Slamming the Bharatiya Janata Party for hiding the truth from general public, Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi said that the changes proposed to the Right to Information (RTI) will make it a useless Act and he also said that Bharatiya Janata Party believes that the truth must be hidden from the people and they must not question people in power.

Opposing the proposal, Rahul Gandhi took to tweet: “Every Indian has the right to know the truth. The BJP believes the truth must be hidden from the people and they must not question people in power. The changes proposed to the RTI will make it a useless Act.”

He further added: “The Bharatiya Janata Party’s move to pass ‘The Right to Information (Amendment) Bill, 2018’ must be opposed by every Indian.”

The Centre yesterday stated that it was considering a proposal made my BJP to amend the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005.
