It was told in the report that the plane was landing on an expressway, during which the plane crashed. Citing a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, CNN reported,

The aircraft carrying six passengers and two flight crew took off from Langkawi International Airport and was on its way to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. The aircraft made first contact with the Subang Air Traffic Control Tower at 2.47 pm (local time). Whose landing was approved at 2:48 pm.

The air traffic control tower saw smoke billowing from the crash site at 2:51 p.m. The pilot did not even give any emergency signal.

The plane belonged to Jet Valet, an exclusive private flight service. He left Langkawi at 2.08 pm. It is located less than 10 km from the accident site. An official said, there were 6 passengers and 2 crew members in the aircraft. Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said the plane was preparing to land and had been cleared by air traffic control. He said the jet lost contact with the control tower two minutes before landing.

He told that the fire and rescue department was able to control the fire in 10 minutes. Police said they are still investigating the accident and post mortems are being conducted to confirm the identities of the victims.
