Raipur: In Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district, the police have arrested the alleged lover of a woman for beating her to death with a stick. Police officials said on Tuesday that the woman was attacked by a married lover who was angry with the woman talking to someone else. He told that the police arrested Shatrughan Sahu (43) on the charge of killing Reshmi Sahu (25) in Magarlod town of the district.
Police officials said that Reshmi, who runs a tea stall in front of the tehsil office in Magarlod town, was allegedly attacked with a stick by an unknown person on Monday evening. Reshmi was seriously injured in this incident. He told that after the incident, the people present there took Reshmi to the hospital where she died during treatment.
Police officials told that when the police got information about the incident, the investigation of the case was started. During this, the police received information that Shatrughan Sahu, a resident of Khisora village, was frequenting the woman’s tea shop.
He told that the police today arrested Shatrughan Sahu on the suspicion of Reshmi’s murder and when he was interrogated, he accepted his crime. Shatrughan is married.
