Chhattisgarh: Unidentified Naxalites opened fire in Rajnandgaon, in which two policemen were martyred. Two jawans Head Constable Rajesh Singh and his partner B/W Chandsuraj were martyred in the Naxalites attack. Rajnandgaon SP Abhishek Meena gave this information. The incident took place between 7 am and 8 am under Bortalav police station limits in the district adjoining Maharashtra.

On Monday, the Naxalites suddenly attacked the security personnel in Rajnandgaon, in which the Naxalites fired about 20 rounds. During this, Rajesh Singh died on the spot and his fellow policeman Chandsuraj was injured and he also died during treatment. SP Abhishek Meena has said that ITBP and District Force teams are investigating on the spot and trying to trace the Maoists.

At the same time, BJP expressed grief over the encounter between police and Naxalites in Rajnandgaon. BJP spokesperson and former minister Rajesh Munat tweeted, “The martyrdom of two soldiers is very sad. I pay tribute to the martyred soldiers. Why the courage of Naxalites has increased in Bhupesh Baghel government? Now the public is also understanding this thing.”

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also tweeted, “The news of the martyrdom of two jawans in a Naxalite attack near Bortalab police station area of ​​Rajnandgaon district is sad. The martyrdom of our soldiers will not go in vain. May God give strength to their families. We are all together. Om shanti:”

Let me tell you, earlier in Kanker district, women Naxalites had burnt three machines engaged in road construction work. Additional Superintendent of Police (Pankhajur) Dhirendra Patel had said that the incident took place on Saturday evening between Kamteda and Gattakal villages under Partapur police station area, about 200 km from the state capital Raipur, but there was no report of any casualty.
