Kanker: In yet another tragic incident in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh accident claims 7 student lives. An auto rickshaw full of school children came under the grip of a truck. This resulted in the death of seven school children traveling in the auto rickshaw. All the children belonged to a private school and after studying in the school were going home in an auto rickshaw. Meanwhile, this big accident happened on the way. CM Bhupesh Baghel has expressed condolences regarding the incident. Police officials said that seven school children died after being hit by a truck in the Korer police station area of the district.
He told that according to the information received by the police, eight school children studying in a private school were going to their home in an auto rickshaw. Officials said that when the school children were on their way, their auto rickshaw was hit by a truck. He told that in this incident five children died on the spot while three children and the auto rickshaw driver were injured.
Police officials said that after getting information about the incident, the police team was sent to the spot and the dead bodies and the injured were sent to the district hospital. He told that two other injured students have also died during treatment. He told that another student and auto rickshaw driver are being treated there.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed grief over the death of the students by tweeting. Baghel has given directions to the administration to help the injured. In a tweet, the CM said that the news of the sudden death of school children in an accident due to a collision between an auto and a truck at Korer Chilhati Chowk in Kanker district is very sad. 4 children are seriously injured, every possible help is being given by the health department.
