Chhattisgarh: On Saturday,Two CRPF personnel were injured in an IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada. The Naxalites had placed IEDs under the banners and posters to target the jawans, which injured jawans. Both the injured jawans have been sent to hospital for treatment.
A CRPF official said that the incident happened in the morning when the security personnel were neutralising the explosive concealed in a Maoist banner found near a bridge on the Indravati river under Barsoor police station limits. Naxalites had put up banner posters in large numbers on Palli Marg, Barsoor to mark the 23rd anniversary of PLGA Week from December 2 to December 8.
Naxalites had placed a pressure IED at a place with a banner poster, two jawans were injured due to its impact. Naxalites often place banner posters and IEDs there to trap soldiers. Naxalites will definitely come to take out banner posters.
Naxalites have managed to carry out the second attack in a week in this area.Two days ago, there was a fire in the generator of a mobile tower in the same area. 14 vehicles were also set on fire in Bhansi police station area of Sath district.
Naxalites are calling for PLGA week by putting up banners and posters in large numbers in Aranpur police station area of the district. A search operation was underway in the area, officials said.
