China: At least 10 people died and 9 injured an apartment fire in northwest China’s Xinjiang province

Beijing: At least 10 people have died in an apartment fire in northwest China's Xinjiang province. There is also nine people injured in this accident. An apartment fire broke out late on Thursday in the provincial capital Urumqi, according to officials. It took firefighters more than three hours to bring the blaze under control.

Beijing: At least 10 people have died in an apartment fire in northwest China’s Xinjiang province. There is also nine people injured in this accident. An apartment fire broke out late on Thursday in the provincial capital Urumqi, according to officials. It took firefighters more than three hours to bring the blaze under control. With the change of season, the temperature here goes below zero at night. Firefighters had to struggle a lot in extinguishing the fire and in relief work.

An investigation has been started by the government into the cause of the fire. Initial investigation revealed that the fire was started by a spark from welding. According to officials, welding work was going on at that time in the industrial trading company located in this area. The cotton cloth caught fire from the spark that came out from there and gradually it engulfed a large area and the apartment.

Let us tell you that a few days ago, 38 people had died due to fire in an apartment in China. This is the third incident of fire in China within a span of a few days. Police have detained four people in connection with the fire in Anyang city. Local authorities have also ordered extensive security inspections.

Recent developments include lack of infrastructure, poor security, lack of awareness and, in some cases, government corruption in apartments or other industrial units inside China. China is already battling the outbreaks of COVID-19. Due to the Zero Covid policy, lakhs of people here are still facing the brunt of the lockdown.
