Circus worker from Udhampur shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag

Jammu and Kashmir: A Hindu employee of a fair organized in South Kashmir’s Anantnag was killed by terrorists on Monday night. The deceased person is a resident of Udhampur district in Jammu province.

The responsibility of the incident has been taken by an organization called Kashmir Freedom Fighters, but the police have not confirmed it. According to the police, the involvement of TRF in the attack also cannot be ruled out.

After the terrorist attack, the security of the circus and its personnel has been increased. Security forces have also launched a search operation by cordoning off the area around the spot.

This is the second incident of killing of a Hindu by terrorists in the Kashmir Valley during the last four months. Earlier on February 26, terrorists killed Sanjay Sharma in Pulwama district Achhan Pulwama when he was going to the doctor with his wife.

According to the information received from Anantnag, a Fun Fair is going on for about 25-26 days near the Amusement Park located near Janglat Mandi. Although it is called a circus, there are no animals in it. An employee named Deepu, who worked in the same fair, was shot dead by the terrorists at around 9.30 pm, just a short distance away from the fair site.

As soon as the sound of the bullet was heard, sensation spread in the entire area. People and security personnel who reached the spot after hearing the sound of gunshot took Deepu to GMC Hospital Anantnag for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

After this incident, the police has increased the security of the fair venue. Along with this, a search operation was also launched to nab the terrorists by laying siege to the areas around the fair venue, which was going on till the writing of this news late last night.
