The deceased has been identified as Prince, a class 8 student situated at Thana Sihani Gate in Ghaziabad.

As per the family members of the child, the school fees of the deceased were not paid on time. Therefore, the school authorities always harassed him and put pressure on him to deposit school fees. This embarrassed the child, and he could not bear the insult, so he hanged himself following his return home from school on Thursday.

Prince’s father stated unequivocally that he had been unable to deposit his son’s fees for the previous six months, so he was also insulted and abused in front of other students.

The family members of the deceased have filed a case against the school management, and a probe has been underway to reach the bottom of the case.
