CM Arvind Kejriwal Bail: ED challenges Kejriwal’s bail, petition filed in High Court

Arvind Kejriwal Bail: Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to Delhi's alleged liquor policy scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has approached the Delhi High Court against this decision of the court. The lawyers of the Central Investigation Agency will present the case before the vacation bench of the High Court.

CM Arvind Kejriwal Bail: Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to Delhi’s alleged liquor policy scam. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has approached the Delhi High Court against this decision of the court. The lawyers of the Central Investigation Agency will present the case before the vacation bench of the High Court.

In fact, after three months, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has been granted regular bail by the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday (June 20, 2024). However, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had appealed to the court to stay the decision for 48 hours. On this the court said that the decision cannot be stopped. Kejriwal may be released from Tihar Jail today.

It is noteworthy that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Delhi CM Kejriwal on March 21. But, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Kejriwal on May 10 till June 1 to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. After which Kejriwal surrendered before Tihar Jail authorities on June 2. Since then you are in the coordinator jail.
