CM Yogi Govt gives big relief to UP consumers; 7 rupees slab finish, release new rates

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has announced great relief to the state’s electricity consumers. The UP government has released new rates of electricity on Saturday. The government has withdrew a slab of 7 rupees. According to the new rates, the maximum amount of Rs. 6 will be Rs. 6 on the power spending above 300 units. By 151 to 300 units, 6 rupees, 101 to 150 units will get electricity at the rate of Rs. 5 per unit. Electricity of Rs 5 per unit will get electricity from zero to 100 units. Domestic BPL power will be available at Rs 3 per unit.

In addition, in the scope of Noida Power Company – 10 percent deduction has been announced for consumers. The second important decision was that the maximum 7 rupees slab has been eliminated for urban domestic consumer. There will be no charge above 6 and a half rupees.

New power rates to urban domestic consumers

1.Up to 150 units- Rs. 5 50 paise per unit
2.From 151 to 300 units- Rs. 5.50 paise per unit 3.From 301 to 500 units- Rs. 6 per unit
4.Up to 500 per unit- Rs. 6.50 paise per unit

Urban domestic BPL consumers will be charged according to 100 units Rs. 3.

New power rates for UP’s rural domestic consumers

1.Up to 100 units- Rs. 35 paise per unit
2.From 101 to 150 units- Rs. 3.35 paise per unit
3.From 151 to 300 units- Rs. 5 per unit
Up to 300 units- Rs. 5.50 per unit

Rural domestic BPL consumers will be charged by ₹ 3 per unit to 100 units.

The domestic consumer of the rural area used to maximize six rupees. Now they will not pay more than 5.50 rupees. Apart from this, rates in the Greater Noida of Noida Power Company has been deducted 10 percent. The company was leaving the surplus. 5 million consumers will get it benefit.
