In a significant move aimed at fostering industrial development, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has bestowed Gorakhpur with a substantial gift—a dedicated land bank spanning 2100 acres. The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) is gearing up for a transformative collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Development Authority (UPDA) Landbank, with plans to attract major investments from industry giants such as Reliance, Adani, and Tata.
Anticipating a strengthened alliance between GIDA and UPEDA Landbank, preparations are underway ahead of the GIDA Day scheduled for November 30. If all unfolds as planned, GIDA and UPEDA will boast a consolidated land bank exceeding 2100 acres by December.
Currently, GIDA oversees a land bank of 1000 acres flanking both sides of Link Express, encompassing Kalesar, Bhiti Rawat, and accommodating over 200 industries. The next phase involves the initiation of land registration for the Dhuriapar Industrial Township, a proposed acquisition of 5500 acres across seven villages in Dhuriyapar. However, the initial focus will be on the purchase of land in Gola tehsil’s three villages—Harpur, Sakardeiya, and Kast Kashinayak—amounting to 1600 acres.
This strategic endeavor not only addresses the historical shortage of land for industrial expansion in Gorakhpur but also positions the region as a promising destination for industrial growth. The move aligns with Chief Minister Yogi’s vision for Uttar Pradesh, fostering economic development and attracting substantial investments to propel the state towards industrial prosperity.
