Coconut oil harming your health, says study

A recent study by the researchers has shown that coconut oil is not good for health as it raises cholesterol in the same way as other saturated fats does.

People who regularly consumed foods high in PUFAs had a significant decrease in the hormone ghrelin, responsible for increasing hunger and also results in obesity.



One of the health foundations has advised: “Because coconut oil increases LDL cholesterol, and has no known offsetting favourable effects, we advise against the use of coconut oil”



It is recommended by the experts that cooking with either olive oil or vegetable oil is good for health as they are natural juice and both of them are rich in monounsaturated fats, which lowers the cholesterol.
