In a welcome move aimed at alleviating the burden on consumers amidst soaring fuel costs, the price of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been reduced significantly.
Oil marketing companies have recently adjusted the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders, notably reducing the cost of 19 kg commercial cylinders by Rs 19. This adjustment, effective from May 1, brings the retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder to Rs 1,745.50 in Delhi.

In Chennai, the price for a 19 kg commercial cylinder is now Rs 1,911, reflecting the recent reduction. Similarly, in Kolkata, there’s a Rs 20 decrease, bringing the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder to Rs 1,859.

This reduction in LPG cylinder prices follows a consecutive three-day decline in global oil prices, which serve as the benchmark for domestic fuel prices.
