New Delhi: Indian players are performing brilliantly in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Now India has won silver medal in mixed team event of badminton. Gold was expected from the Indian team in the final match but it could not penetrate the Malaysian wall. Only PV Sindhu could win her match for India.On the other hand, Satwik-Chirag, Kidambi Srikanth and Gayatri-Trisha had to face defeat.

Total Medal In the Commonwealth Games 2022 till now

In the Commonwealth Games 2022, India has so far got 13 medals, including five gold, five silver and three bronze medals. The special thing is that eight medals have come in weightlifting in this. While the women’s team in lawn balls and the men’s team in table tennis won the yellow medal. India has got two medals in judo and one medal in badminton.

About the match

India has lost 1-3 at the hands of Malaysia. Gayatri Gopichand and Trisha Jolly have lost in Women’s Doubles. Gayatri-Trishalakkopeyeri Ten and Muraleedharan Thinna defeated 21-18, 21-17.

Kidambi Srikanth has suffered a defeat in the men’s singles match.Srikanth was defeated by NG Yong 21-19, 6-21, 21-16. Due to Srikanth’s defeat, India is now trailing 1-2. Now India will have to win the women’s doubles match at any cost to stay in the match.

PV Sindhu has entered the Women’s Singles match. In the first game, Sindhu showed a brilliant performance by beating Goh Jin Wei 22-20. PV Sindhu won the match by winning the second game by 21-17. With the victory of Sindhu, the Indian team has leveled 1-1.

In the first match, Satwik Sairaj Ranki Reddy and Chirag Shetty have landed on the court. The pair of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik won the first game against Satwik-Chirag 21-18. After this, in the second game also, Satwik-Chirag could not make a comeback and had to be defeated 15-21. With this, Malaysia has taken a 1-0 lead in the best of five match final.

India’s journey was great

In the golden journey till the final, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan 5-0 in their very first match. Then in the second match too, India defeated Sri Lanka 5-0 under the leadership of PV Sindhu. After this, in the third match, India defeated Australia and made it to the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, India defeated South Africa and secured the ticket to the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, the Indian team defeated Singapore 3-0 to secure their place in the gold medal match. In that match, Satwik Sairaj Ranki Reddy and Chirag Shetty won the doubles match for India. After this, in the second match, two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu defeated Jia Min in straight games. After this, in the third match, young Lakshya Sen defeated Loh Keen Yew 21-18, 21-15 to take India to the final.
