Chennai: A complaint has been filed against TRB Raja, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MLA and IT cell head, on the grounds that he is allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
The DMK leader had shared a post on Twitter that portrayed Lord Vishnu in a disrespectable light.
A picture of VD Savarkar flying on a crow was also posted on the Mannargudi MLA’s post. After facing the backlash, TRB Rajaa deleted the tweet within a few hours.
“A police complaint has been lodged against DMK IT cell head TRB Rajaa for his Twitter post that promoted hatred by demeaning Lord Vishnu,” said Tamil Nadu BJP leader Amar Prasad Reddy in a tweet.
Rajaa has been elected thrice to the Mannargudi Legislative Assembly in Tamil Nadu. He was appointed the first secretary of DMK’s NRI Wing and then as the second secretary of DMK’s IT Wing. Rajaa was appointed to the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission when the DMK regained power in 2021.
