Cong interim Sonia Gandhi seeks time to interrogate ED citing health issues in National Herald case

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to the ED, seeking more time for questioning. Sonia Gandhi has demanded the postponement of her appearance for a few weeks until complete recovery from Covid, a lung infection.

75-year-old Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on June 12 due to health complications after corona virus infection. She was found infected with the corona virus. He was discharged from the hospital on 20 June. The hospital has advised him to take rest at home.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear for questioning on June 23 in an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald. Now Sonia Gandhi has again written a letter to the ED asking for a few weeks’ time.

Sonia Gandhi was earlier asked to appear on June 8, but due to her being infected with the corona virus, she had asked for a new date to appear before the investigating agency.

The investigating agency is already interrogating Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and he appeared again before the ED on Tuesday. He has been questioned for about 53 hours.
