Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh result has given a ray of hope to the eclipsing Congress. The ruling BJP did not win any seats in the Hamirpur constituency that falls under Union Minister Anurag Thakur. Thakur’s performance has been questioned by both the Congress and the AAP. Referring to his ‘Goli maro’ speech in Delhi during the Delhi assembly polls in 2020, AAP MLA Naresh Balyan said the BJP’s wave is such that even a Union minister could not save his booth.
The saffron party lost all five seats in Anurag Thakur’s constituency. “Naresh Balyan tweeted that the BJP won Gujarat, lost to Himachal Pradesh and the Congress, regained power, and the AAP won the MCD elections first time unseating the BJP.”
Anurag Thakur did extensive campaigning in his home state of Himachal Pradesh; he also highlighted the work his father, Prem Kumar Dhumal, did as the chief minister of the hilly state.
pic.twitter.com/vLjYZsbqv3
