New Delhi: After the victory in the Karnataka Assembly elections, the Congress is busy taking a final decision on the name of the new Chief Minister. It is said that Siddaramaiah’s name is leading in the race. In this connection, today DK Shivkumar went to Rahul Gandhi’s house and met him. Seeing the possibility, Siddaramaiah’s supporters have also started celebrating.

It is being said that Siddaramaiah is sure to become the CM. The Congress high command can stamp his name on Wednesday. After this, the process of formally announcing it will be completed by calling a meeting of the Legislature Party in Bengaluru.

According to the information received, DK Shivakumar will be made deputy CM and he will also be given the energy and irrigation departments. He will also continue as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress President. Congress’s press conference can be held at Janpath at 1 pm. In which this announcement can be made officially.

A meeting was called on Tuesday at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjuna to finalize the name of the CM. Shivakumar, who reached Delhi from Bengaluru on Tuesday afternoon, met Kharge at his residence. According to sources, Shivakumar, citing his contributions to the party from leading the organization in the Karnataka elections, clearly said that he is a natural claimant to the post of Chief Minister. Now it is the time of new generation with him in Karnataka politics.

Significantly, Congress has registered a bumper victory in Karnataka. Congress has formed the government by winning 135 seats in 224 assembly seats. The ruling BJP was reduced to only 66 seats. At the same time, JDS’s hopes of becoming the kingmaker have also suffered a setback. JDS got only 19 seats in this election. Others got four seats.
