New Delhi: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife and former Punjab minister Navjot Kaur Sidhu has been diagnosed with cancer. Navjot Kaur Sidhu herself informed about this by tweeting and told that she has stage-2 cancer.
Significantly, Navjot Singh Sidhu is currently lodged in Patiala Jail in Punjab and is serving a one-year sentence in a road rage case. Navjot Kaur tweeted that she has stage-2 cancer and she cannot blame anyone for this, because it is God’s will.
In her tweet, Navjot Kaur wrote, ‘He (Navjot Singh Sidhu) is in jail for a crime which he did not commit. Forgive all those involved. Waiting for you every day out of jail probably hurts me more than you. As always I try to share your pain. I know all this is very bad, but there is some improvement in it.’

Navjot Kaur further wrote, ‘Time and again you pleaded for justice, but justice did not come and I waited for you. Truth is very powerful, but it tests you every time. Kalyug is Sorry, can’t wait for you, because I have stage-2 cancer. Surgery is scheduled today. No one should be blamed for it, because it is God’s will.’
Congress Punjab President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring responded by writing- “I am sorry you have to undergo surgery. Thankfully it was detected in time. Praying for your speedy recovery. Waheguru Meher Karan”
Significantly, the Supreme Court had sentenced Navjot Singh Sidhu to one year imprisonment in the 34-year-old case of road rage. His release was being speculated in January but he could not come out. Wife Navjot Kaur had expressed a lot of displeasure on the Punjab government on Twitter. There are reports that Sidhu may come out of jail in April.
