The party’s general secretary, KC Venugopal, stated, “We have today released a chargesheet at the national level, but the respective Pradesh Congress Committees will make a chargesheet where other parties or the BJP are in power.”

The grand old party also referred to the BJP as a “Bhrasht Jumla Party” and claimed that its slogan was ‘kuch ka saath, khud ka vikas, sabke saath vishwasghaat’ (for the profit of few, development for self, and betrayal of everyone).

Venugopal, speaking to the media, said that the party has received applause from all sections in the 130 days of the historic Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“Lakhs of people interacted with Rahul Gandhi during his foot march programme Bharat Jodo Yatra, and it is understandable that people in the country have to be suffering due to the wrong policies of the Modi government,” he said.

The next campaign of the grand old party is “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan,” which is set to start on January 26. During this campaign, it has been planned that party workers will reach 10 lakh polling booths, 2.5 lakh panchayats, and six lakh villages. “This will be a door-to-door campaign, and its aim is to transmit the message of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, and workers will distribute the chargesheet among the people,” Venugopal said.

Venugopal praised Rahul Gandhi’s effort with the Bharat Jodo Yatra and said the yatra got a stupendous response, so it became a “grand success” and will be considered “a great movement” in the country. He said the follow-up programme ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyaan,” is to be a two-month campaign but may be extended.
