Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra starts again after day break, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka to join yatra in Karnataka

The Congress Party's Bharat Jodo Yatra has been progressing well, and it appears that this yatra may play a significant role for the grand old party, Sonia Gandhi and  Priyanka to join yatra in Karnataka.

Thrissur: The Congress Party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra has been  progressing well, and it appears that this yatra may play a significant role for the grand old party. It has entered its 17th day as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, after taking a day’s rest, once again resumed his yatra on Saturday from Perambra.

The march got underway at around 6.30 am and a huge number of party workers joined in the yatra. The morning session of the march will conclude at Amballur Junction after covering 12 km.

The yatra will take place again from Talore Bypass junction at 5 pm to reach the south gate of Thrissur Vadakkumnathan temple.

“Thrissur workers and people come out in large numbers to support Shri @RahulGandhi and all the Padyatris as # BharatJodoYatra resumes after a well-deserved break,” Congress said in a tweet.

On Friday, a medical camp was organised  when there was rest for the participants of the march and the Seva Dal team at Chalakudy.

The padyatra, which resumed from Perambra Junction in Thrissur, will make a breakfast stop at Amballur Junction around 10 am. At 5 pm, the yatra will start again from Talore Bypass Junction, and at 7 o’clock it will stop for the evening break at Swaraj Round Road, Vadakkumnathan South Gate. The padyatris will spend the night at Thope Stadium.

Sonia Gandhi, the interim president of the Congress, and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi will participate in the Karnataka leg of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” led by Rahul Gandhi, that is expected to reach Karnataka on September 30, as stated by party chief D K Shivakumar on Friday. 

The yatra began on September 7, and according to Congress leader KC Venugopal, the response has been “unimaginable.”
