The Indian Railways traffic chart reveals what actually happened during the Odisha train accident. Let us inform that so far 288 people have died in this accident and hundreds of people are injured. There are three tracks visible in the chart, one is the loop line, the other is the up line and the third is the down line.

When the passenger train passes through the track, the goods train is put on the loop line to get them ahead of the goods train, so that the passenger train can pass through the main line. In the Odisha accident, it happened that the goods train was standing on the loop line and the Coromandel Express was coming on the up line, but it is feared that due to a fault in the signal, the Coromandel Express also went into the loop line and collided with the goods train standing there. Due to this the bogies of Coromandel Express derailed and overturned on the up line and down line. Then the Bengaluru Express came on the down line and collided with the coaches of the Coromandel Express lying on the track. In this way, in a few minutes, this horrific accident took place, which took the lives of about three hundred people.
