New Delhi: When the whole world is grappling with the deadly Corona pandemic, India’s COVID-19 recovery rate is claimed to have improved to 96.42 per cent as on January 10, 2021, says Modi government.
In order to defeat the deadly pathogen, the Union Health Ministry has announced that the vaccination against Covid-19 will begin from January 16, adding that priority will be given to healthcare staff and frontline workers. PM Modi will also reportedly hold a meeting with CMs and representatives of all states and Union Territories on Monday to discuss corona virus vaccination across the country.
It is to be mentioned that as per recent reports, five more cases of new strain of corona virus have been detected in Meerut, taking total cases of the strain in the district to 9, reported by District Magistrate K Balaji.
Furthermore, total number of samples tested up to 9th January is 18,10,96,622 including 8,43,307 samples tested yesterday, claims Indian Council of Medical Research in its report.
To note, India has reported 18,645 new COVID-19 cases, 19,299 discharges, and 201 deaths in last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry. Whereas, total 1,04,50,284 cases of Covid-19 infection have been reported so far, in which 2,23,335 are active cases with 1,00,75,950 patients been discharged and total life loss of 1,50,999 is also included.
