New Delhi: In India, the period of ups and downs in the cases of ‘Corona infection’ continues. In the last 24 hours, 14,917 new cases of corona have been reported. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,42,68,381. The number of active cases has become to 1,17,508. 32 people died due to this infection in last 24 hours. The death tally reached at 5,27,069.

Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 14,238 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 4,36,23,804. The recovery rate of the country is 98.54 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 7.52 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.65 per cent, the ministry said.

Talking about the vaccination campaign, total 208.25 crore so far of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 25,50,276 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country. Delhi on Sunday reported 2,162 fresh COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 12.64 per cent, while five more people died due to the disease, according to data shared by the city health department.

Talking about the corona test, According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 88,02,82,103 samples have been tested up to August 13 for COVID-19. Of these 3,81,861 samples were tested on Saturday. The Union Government has also directed seven states–Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana–reporting a surge of covid cases to continue to monitor the spread of infection and advised them to increase the pace of vaccination, especially the administration of free precautionary doses for all above 18 years of age.
