New Delhi: In India, the period of ups and downs in the cases of ‘Corona infection’ continues. In the last 24 hours, 16,047 new cases of corona have been reported. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,41,145,612. The number of active cases has become to 1,28,261. 54 people died due to this infection in last 24 hours. The death tally reached at 526,826.
Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 19,539 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 4,35,35,610. The recovery rate of the country is 98.54 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.94 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.90 per cent, the ministry said.
Talking about the vaccination campaign, total 2,07,03,71,204 crore so far of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 15,21,429 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country. Talking about the corona test, in the last 24 hours, over 2,63,419 tests have been done across the country. So far, about 87.81 crore corona tests have been done in the country.
Talking about the capital Delhi, every passing day there is an increase in the cases of infected people. According to the report released on 9 August, 1372 new corona patients have appeared in Delhi. At the same time 6 patients have died. With yesterday’s figure, the number of active cases in Delhi has now reached 7 thousand 484. With this the infection rate has gone up to 17.85 percent. Let us inform that in the last 1 month, there has been a rapid increase in the cases of corona positive people in Delhi. By the end of July, the infection rate remained around 6 percent, which has now gone beyond 17 percent.
At the same time, Corona is spreading in Maharashtra too. According to the data released on 9 August, 1,782 new cases have come here and seven more patients have died due to infection. Apart from this, 28 new cases of Kovid-19 have come in Sikkim and two people have died due to infection. The Health Department of Maharashtra said that with the new cases, the total number of infected people in the state increased to 80,62,519 and with the death of seven patients, the number of people who lost their lives due to the epidemic so far has increased to 1,48,150. On Monday, 1,005 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Maharashtra and four patients died.
