New Delhi: Once again, there is an increase in the cases of corona in the country. On Friday, According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 16,561 new cases of covid infected have been registered in the last 24 hours. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,41,162,173. The number of active cases has become to 1,23,53. The death tally reached at 5,26,928.
Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 18,053 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 4,35,73,094. The recovery rate of the country is 98.53 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 5.44 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.88 per cent, the ministry said.
Talking about the vaccination campaign, total 207.47 crore dose so far of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 17,72,441 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country. Talking about the corona test, in the last 24 hours, over 3,04,189 tests have been done across the country. So far, about 87,95,37,440 crore corona tests have been done in the country.
Corona cases have started increasing rapidly once again in the capital. According to experts, the biggest reason for this rapidly spreading infection is not following the rules of social distancing. On August 11, 2,726 new cases of corona patients were registered in Delhi. If we look at the data of the Health Department, 19,760 cases of corona positive patients have been reported in Delhi in the first 10 days of August. Apart from this, the number of containment zones has increased by about 50 percent.
At the same time, on August 11, 1,877 new cases of covid infected have been reported in Maharashtra. With the new figure, the number of cases in the state so far has increased to 80,66,243. According to the report, five more people died due to infection yesterday i.e. on August 11, after which the death toll from the infection increased to 1,48,162.
