New Delhi: On Wednesday, Corona cases have once again increased in India. According to the Ministry of Health, 17,135 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country. With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 4,40,67,144. The number of active cases in the country has come down to 1,37,057. The ministry said that active cases comprise 0.32 per cent of the total infections.
Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, in the last 24 hours, 19,823 patients were cured across the country. With this, the total number of patients who have been cured after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 4,34,03,610. The recovery rate of the country is 98.49 percent. With 40 deaths reported in last 24 hours. The total tally of deaths toll climbed to 5,26,477.
Most of the new cases are coming from most affected states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Daily cases have increased again in Maharashtra and 1,886 new cases were reported here on the last day. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, 1,302 new cases were detected on the previous day, while in Kerala on Monday, 1,057 new people were found infected with the corona virus. In Karnataka, 1,736 new cases were reported on the last day. The daily positivity rate stood at 3.69%, while the weekly positivity rate was 4.67%.
Talking about the corona test, in the last 24 hours, 4,64,919 tests have been done across the country. So far, about 87.63 crore corona tests have been done in the country. Talking about the vaccination campaign, so far 2,04,84,30,732 doses of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 23,49,651 doses were administered on the previous day. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country.
