New Delhi: On Friday, According to the Union Health Ministry, India recorded 18,815 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hrs. The total case tally has reached 4,35,85,554. With this, the active caseload in the country has gone up to 1,22,335
According to Union health ministry 38 death recorded in last 24 hours.The total death toll in the country is now at 5,25,343. The recovery rate stood at 98.51 per cent in India, with around 15,899 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. The tally of total recoveries has reached 4,29,37,876.
The active cases account for 0.28%, the daily and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.96% and 4.09% respectively. Out of the new infections, maximum cases were reported from five states, such as Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.Nearly 69.34 per cent of the new cases are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 19.46% of the new cases.
West Bengal recorded 2,889 cases, Tamil Nadu saw 2,765 cases and Maharashtra registered 2,678 coronavirus infections in 24 hours. The total number of COVID tests conducted so far has gone up to 86.57 crores with 3,79,470 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. With 17,62,441 people receiving vaccination against the disease in the last 24 hours, India’s cumulative COVID vaccination coverage reached 198.51 crores.
