Coronavirus: India sees 19,893 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, active cases cross 1.36 lakh

New Delhi: Corona cases are increasing continuously in India. In the last 24 hours, 19,893 new cases of corona have been reported. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,40,87,037. The number of active cases has come down to 1,36,478.At the same time, after the death of 53 more people due to infection, the death toll increased to 5,26,530.

Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 20,419 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 4,34,24,029. The recovery rate of the country is 98.50 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.94 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.64 per cent, the ministry said.

Talking about the corona test, in the last 24 hours, 4,03,006 tests have been done across the country. So far, about 87.68 crore corona tests have been done in the country. Talking about the vaccination campaign, so far 2,05,22,51,408 doses of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 38,20,676 doses were administered on the previous day. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country.

If we look at the most affected states, so far 80,52,103 people have been found infected in Maharashtra and 1,48,117 people have died. Till Monday, 67,23,468 people have been found infected in the second most affected state of Kerala. and 70,497 patients have died. Karnataka with 40,12,522 cases and 40,108 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 35,48,195 cases and 38,033 deaths are the next two worst-affected states.

The most affected states are Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where new cases are also coming the most. Daily cases have increased again in Maharashtra and 1,932 new cases were reported here on the last day. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, 1,288 new cases were caught on the last day. While in Kerala, 1,057 new people were found infected with the corona virus on Monday. In Karnataka, 2,136 new cases were reported on the previous day.
