New Delhi: On Saturday, India reported 21,411 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. According to the Union Health Ministry data, the total number of cases now stands at 4,38,68,476. The active cases in the country stands at 1,50,100 on Saturday. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.46 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.46 per cent, the ministry said.
With 67 new deaths due to this infections in last 24 hours. The death toll climbed to 5,25,997. In the last 24 hours, active cases increased by 618. The active cases comprise 0.34 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.46 per cent, the ministry said. The top five states which registered maximum cases are Maharashtra with 2,515 cases, followed by Kerala with 2,477 cases, West Bengal with 2,237 cases, Tamil Nadu with 2,033 cases and Karnataka with 1,562 cases. The 67 new fatalities include 32 from Kerala; seven from West Bengal; six from Maharashtra; three each from Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh; two each from Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya; and one each from Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Puducherry, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu.
According to the information, A total of 20,726 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brought the total recoveries to 4,31,92,379 across the country. India’s recovery rate stood at 98.46 per cent. The cumulative doses administered under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 201.68 crore on Saturday at 8 am.
