New Delhi: In India, the period of ups and downs in the cases of ‘Corona infection’ continues. In the last 24 hours 7,591 new cases of corona have been reported. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,43,75,289. The number of active cases has become to 84,931. The death toll due to the disease has climbed to 5,27,799 with 45 new fatalities being recorded.
Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 9,206 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to more than 4,38,02,993. The recovery rate of the country is 98.62 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 4.58 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.69%, according to the ministry.
Talking about the vaccination campaign, total 211.91 crore so far of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 24,70,330 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country.
Talking about the corona test, According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), over 88.52 cr samples have been tested up to August 14 for COVID-19. Maharashtra on Sunday reported 1,639 COVID-19 cases and five fatalities, taking the tally to 80,96,484 and the toll to 1,48,229.Delhi on Sunday recorded 397 fresh COVID-19 cases and five deaths.The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 10,53,339 on Sunday after the detection of 70 fresh cases at a positivity rate of 1%, while the death toll remained unchanged at 10,770.
