Coronavirus news update: India sees 1,994 new coronavirus cases and 4 death in 24 last hours, active cases cross 23,000

New Delhi: The number of new corona patients in the country is decreases today. In the last 24 hours 1,994 new patients have been found. The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have to 23,432, the health ministry data showed today.

New Delhi: The number of new corona patients in the country is decreases today. In the last 24 hours 1,994 new patients have been found. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,46,42,742. The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have to 23,432, the health ministry data showed today.

Talking about those recovering ,the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to more than 4,40,90,349. India’s recovery rate now stands at 98.76 percent. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.24 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.99 per cent, according to the health ministry.

According to the ministry, 219.50 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive. Delhi recorded 118 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 1.77 per cent on Thursday, according to data shared by the health department. No Covid-related fatality was reported in the city.

The death toll due to the viral disease has gone up to 5,28,961 with four more fatalities, according to the ministry’s data updated at 8 am. According to the ministry, 219.55 crore doses of Covid vaccines have so far been administered to the beneficiaries across the country.
