It is the fastest and the most convenient mode of transport that can take us to any country we wish to travel and explore.
New Delhi:Only Five Countries Have No Airport for Air Travel. Airports have risen to become symbols of both economic and social progress, as aviation has brought in prosperity and urban development wherever it took off from. In present times, it is rare to find a country without an airport and still rely on other means of mass conveyance such as boats, trains etc.
However, there are few nations in the world where an airport simply doesn’t exist due to a crunch for space.
1.Vatican City. Vatican City is the smallest country in the World.
1.Vatican City: This is a tricky one. Vatican City is not only an independent city-state, but it’s also the smallest country in the world. The 109-acre spot does not have its own airport, likely because it is actually “enclaved” within Rome. Vatican City is spread over 109 acres,
2.Liechtenstein: Liechtenstein is also a small nation, and its entire perimeter barely stretches to 75 km. The principality with an area of some 160 square km is just a few kilometers long. However, locals rely on bus or car routes to reach Zurich Airport, which is about 120 km away.
3.Andorra: Andorra is home to many hills and mountains. This co-principality is nestled between France and Spain, and is surrounded by the Pyrenees completely. There are peaks that are close to 3000 m high and flying a plane becomes a bit dangerous and difficult at such altitudes.
4.San Marino: San Marino doesn’t have an airport despite being surrounded by Italian land. As the fifth-smallest country in the world, San Marino doesn’t suffer from inaccessibility as it is only nine miles from the famous Federico Fellini International Airport. The country is one of the richest in the world with the highest GDP per capita. San Marino is one of the world’s oldest states.
5.Monaco: Surrounded by the land of France on three sides and the Mediterranean sea on one, Monaco is the second smallest country in the world. You have to take a boat or car from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in France to reach Monaco. It hosts one of the oldest and most prestigious Formula One Races, the Monaco Grand Pix. Monaco is the world’s second smallest country after Vatican City.
