Covid-19: India reports 10,256 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, active cases cross 90,000

In the last 24 hours 10,256 new cases of corona have been reported. The number of active cases has become to 90,707. Due to this infection 68 people reported death in last 24 hours.The total death toll in the country is now at 5,27,556.

New Delhi: In India, the period of ups and downs in the cases of ‘Corona infection’ continues. In the last 24 hours 10,256 new cases of corona have been reported. After which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 4,43,58,271. The number of active cases has become to 90,707. Due to this infection 68 people reported death in last 24 hours.The total death toll in the country is now at 5,27,556.

Talking about those recovering after defeating the corona virus infection, 13,528 patients were cured across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to more than 4,37,70,913. The recovery rate of the country is 98.61 percent. The daily positivity rate stood at 2.43 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.02 per cent.

Talking about the vaccination campaign, total 211.13 crore so far of vaccine have been administered in the country. According to the Ministry of Health, 31,60,292 doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccine is being administered to children and adults above 12 years of age in the country.

Talking about the corona test, According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), over 88.43 cr samples have been tested up to August 14 for COVID-19. Of these 4,22,322 samples were tested on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the health ministry has directed states and union territories to continue surveillance of incoming international travelers given the rise in daily cases. They have been also asked to continue monitoring lnfluenza-like illness (lLl) & SARI cases, undertake constant genome sequencing, and step-up vaccination.
