Covid-19: India sees 14,830 fresh cases, 18,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours; active cases cross 1.47 lakh

New Delhi: On Tuesday, India reported 14,830 fresh COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. Taking to the total tally of the infection reached 43,920,451. According to the Union Health Ministry data updated, the active cases reached to 1,47,512.

With 36 new deaths reported due to this infection in last 24 hours. According to the data updated on 8 am showed, the total death toll climbed to 5,26,110. In a span of 24 hours, A decline of 3,365 cases has been recorded in the active caseload. Active cases now comprise 0.34 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.47 per cent, the health ministry said.

According to the report, The daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.48 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.53 per cent. The national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.47 per cent, the health ministry said, adding that 18,159 people recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries from Covid disease now stand at 4,32,46,829, it said.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 87,31,85,917 samples have been tested up to July 25 for COVID-19. Of these 4,26,102 samples were tested on Monday. According to the ministry, 202.5 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive.
