New Delhi: On Monday, India reported 16,866 fresh COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours. The total tally of COVID-19 case to reached at 4,38,05,621. According to Union Health Ministry data update, the active cases stand at 1,50,877. In the 24-hour period, a decrease of 1,323 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload.
With 41 deaths reported due to this infection in last 24 hour.The death toll climbed to 5,26,074.The India also reported 18,148 recoveries in a day. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,32,28,670, while the case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.20 per cent.
According to the report, due to this infection 41 new fatalities include 13 from Kerala, six each from Maharashtra and West Bengal, four from Punjab, two each from Delhi and Sikkim and one each from Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh. The active cases comprise 0.34 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid recovery rate was recorded at 98.46 per cent, the Union health ministry said.
According to the Union Health Ministry data update, the daily positivity rate stood at 7.03 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.49 per cent, the ministry said.According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 87,27,59,815 samples have been tested up to July 24 for COVID-19. Of these 2,39,751 samples were tested on Sunday. According to the ministry, 202.17 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive.
