New Delhi: Again Covid-19 scare in Indian cricket team as Team captain Rohit Sharma has been found to be Covid-19 positive. The Indian team that went on the tour of England has been hit by the corona virus. The information about Rohit Sharma coming positive came out in the Rapid Antigen Test held on Saturday (June 25). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed this by tweeting.
The BCCI wrote, ‘Captain Rohit Sharma has tested positive for Kovid-19 in the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on Saturday. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel. The BCCI medical team is taking care of him.

Rohit Sharma was involved in the ongoing Indian team’s practice match against Leicestershire, but Rohit did not come out to bat in India’s second innings on the third day of the game. Rohit came out to open in the first innings on the opening day of the match, where he scored 25 runs before being dismissed by Roman Walker.
Rohit Sharma was India’s best batsman in the four Test matches against England last year. Later, the final test had to be rescheduled after cases of corona virus were reported. Rohit scored 368 runs in four Test matches at an average of 52.27, including a century at the Oval. India lead 2-1 in the five-match series. If India makes the Edgbaston Test at least a draw, then it will capture the series. The fifth test match is to be played from July 1-5.
