The man stabbed her at least five to six times because the victim had ended her friendship with him. The incident occurred in broad daylight.
Police apprehended the accused on Tuesday and charged him under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The culprit has been identified as Sukhvinder Singh (22). After the stabbing, the accused fled to Ambala, where he was arrested.
As per the report, the victim and the man had been friends for several years, but she stopped entertaining him, and their relationship turned pathetic. Therefore, the accused tried to kill her to take revenge.
The woman was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, where doctors are treating her, and it is stated that her condition is stable. Further investigation into the case has been underway.
The national capital, Delhi, has seen many harsh incidents within a couple of days of the new year. Crime against women must be stopped. Unfortunately, it has been increasing.
