The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the new IPL 2022 team, needs to improve its previous performance. In today’s match, LSG is ready to lock horns with CSK. Tonight’s fixture is to be played at Braboune Stadium, Mumbai, at 7:30 pm. Be ready for another thrilling match.

Both teams hope impressive show from top orders

Both sides are looking for better performances from their top-order batters. Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings have already lost their opening fixtures. Therefore, today’s match is a good opportunity for them to get valuable points.

Incidentally, both sides played their opening matches at the Wankhede stadium. Both batted first, lost early wickets, and scored under 160. These kinds of totals are usually insufficient in high-scoring IPL matches. The old war horse MS Dhoni for CSK and Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni for LSG) showed grit, which were positive aspects for both sides.

CSK’s newly appointed skipper, Ajay Jadega, has to prove his captaincy in this edition of the IPL. CSK fans must be hoping for an inspiring captaincy from Jadeja and that he won’t make the same mistake again like he did in the first match. But he needs the backing of other players, as otherwise he can’t do anything alone.

Bravo needs to take wickets at a crucial time.

Dwayne Bravo, who is currently the joint-highest wicket-taker in the IPL, needs to take wickets at the crucial juncture of the match. But Deepak Chahar’s absence really creates an issue for the CSK. Adam Milne and Tushar Desphande have to be well-disciplined in their first six overs, otherwise things will get out of control for CSK.

Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadega need to be careful in the middle overs. Both spinners need to be economical, and their contributions with the bat will be vital for the team.

The batting department is looking solid. But batters have to score runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, and others have to leave their previous match performance behind and need an improvement in today’s match.

It would be wrong to take LSG easily. The team has several quality players who are capable of swinging the pendulum of a match within a few overs.

The batting of the Lucknow Super Giants mainly depends on KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, and Manish Pandey. But the young batters are also replete with quality.

LSG has two excellent fast bowlers in Dushmantha Chameera and Avesh Khan. Both have the ability to keep the batters, to some extent, silent in the powerplay and death overs. Captian KL Rahul, as a captain, has to take decisions positively. One mistake may cost you a match in a competitive tournament like the IPL.

Both sides need to be mentally prepared and avoid making silly mistakes. At the outset, CSK looks like the favourite. LSG is ready for the challenge. It is expected that the crowd will get a chance to watch another absorbing match tonight. Be ready for today’s fascinating encounter.
