SRH, after losing the first two matches, came back like a roaring tiger and first defeated last edition’s champion CSK by eight wickets, and yesterday overpowered the winning streak of GT. The victory margin in this match was also eight wickets.

The knocks of Williamson, Sharma, and Pooran proved too strong for the GT bowlers to stop. It seems SRH is slowly but surely picking up form.

In today’s IPL match, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are gearing up to face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai. The reigning champion is at the bottom of the points table while his opponent for tonight, RCB, is in tremendous nick, having won three out of four matches.

The newly appointed captain of CSK, Ravindra Jadeja, should take some leaves from his predecessor, MS Dhoni’s book, to improve the team’s performance; otherwise, things would be difficult for CSK to recover.

CSK must be hoping to scrip its first victory in tonight’s match. Meanwhile, RCB is looking to continue its remarkable performance against CSK to snatch two important points.

CSK ahead to RCB

If we talk about head-to-head records in this segment, CSK’s record is far superior to its opponent’s. In the history of the IPL, both teams have faced each other 28 times.RCB emerged victorious in 9 matches, while CSK won 18 matches and one match ended without any result.

Glenn Maxwell will probably get a chance to play for RCB in tonight’s match, which will definitely strengthen RCB.

The side led by Faf du Plessis, is looking like a confident team and is ready to overwhelm its old foe, CSK, and grab two crucial points. On the other hand, CSK is in a do or die situation. The franchise needs to improve its game and disturb the points table column.

Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik and others need to be careful against CSK. These players are full of potential to thrash any attack. Kohli is about to achieve a personal landmark, just short of 52 runs, to score 1000 runs against CSK.

CSK is replete with stars that have the ability to turn the match in any situation. They have failed so far in this edition of the IPL. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni, and others have to be fired if the team wants to register its first victory in this IPL. Skipper Jadeja’s record against RCB is remarkably fantastic. He has grabbed 23 wickets in 28 outings.

At the outset, it’s going to be a cracking match between the two old foes of the IPL. Be ready to enjoy the anticlimax of tonight’s encounter.
