“Culprit will not be spared……”: Punjab CM Mann warns after Mohali HQ blast

New Delhi: A rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was fired at the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali late on Monday night, shattering window panes. However, no casualties have been reported. But CM is in action after a blast, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Tuesday that “whoever tried to spoil the atmosphere of our Punjab will not be spared”.

Punjab CM further added that probe is underway.

CM Bhagwant Mann is seen in action after Mohali blast. He has called a meeting of all the top officials including the DGP at the CM residence. A report of the entire incident will be sought in this meeting. Let us inform that the team of NIA will reach Mohali today to investigate the matter. For the past few days, many intelligence reports have also come to the fore regarding Punjab. For some time, Khalistani terrorist organizations are again trying to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab.

A rocket-like object exploded last night outside the office of Police Intelligence in Mohali, Punjab. In this matter, the Chief Minister has taken complete information about the matter from the DGP. Now the NIA team will go to Mohali to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, replying to Mann’s tweet, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said that the Punjab government will not allow those people’s wishes to be fulfilled who want to disturb the peace of Punjab.

Kejriwal also termed the Mohali blast a “cowardly act”.

“Peace will be maintained under all circumstances with the cooperation of all the people of Punjab and the culprits will be punished severely,” he said in a tweet.

Brazen attack on our police force is deeply concerning: Amarinder Singh
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh expressed shock over the explosion and urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to take strict action against those who were behind this incident.

“Shocked to hear about the blast at the @PunjabPoliceInd Intelligence headquarter in Mohali. Thankfully nobody was hurt. This brazen attack on our police force is deeply concerning and I urge CM @BhagwantMann to ensure perpetrators are brought to justice at the earliest,” Singh tweeted.

Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal said he was shocked by the blast.
