Bhavina Hasmukhbhai Patel of India created history by winning the gold medal in the Para Table Tennis Women’s singles. This is his first Commonwealth medal. In the final match, Bhavina looked better in every way against a Nigerian rival. By defeating in a straight match, he captured the gold. Bhavina created history by winning a silver medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. At the Paralympics, she lost to Zhou Ying of China in the final.
But, in the final of the Commonwealth Games, he did not let any kind of pressure dominate himself. The life of Bhavina, who was a victim of polio at the age of just one year, has been full of struggles, but she never gave up her stubbornness to win.
India’s Bhavina defeated Nigeria’s Efechukude Christiana Ikpoyi 12-10, 11-2, 11-9 to win the gold medal in the women’s singles category 3-5 final at the Commonwealth Games. Gold and bronze medals have come for India in this event.
Sonalben Manubhai Patel has won the bronze medal. Also, this medal number 14 was received on Saturday in the Commonwealth Games. Bhavna Patel has won gold medal for India in Commonwealth Games. Bhavina got a fight in the first game. However, he won it 12-10. In the second game, he easily won 11-2. In the third game, the opposition tried to challenge him, but he created history by winning 11-9.
India’s star wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya has won a medal in the Commonwealth Games for the first time. His first medal is gold. Ravi defeated Nigeria’s Abikevenimo Wilson 10-0 in the final of the freestyle 57kg category. This is India’s fourth gold medal in wrestling. Apart from this, India’s senior wrestler Vinesh Phogat won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games for the third time. She defeated Chamodaya Keshani of Sri Lanka in the freestyle 53 kg. Vinesh won this match by 4-0.
She also won the gold medal in the 48 kg category at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the 50 kg category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
