Cyclone: ​​Cyclone to reach WB-Bangladesh coast on Oct 25! IMD issues heavy rain alert

According to Meteorological Scientists (IMD), this high pressure area is likely to turn northwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm (Cyclone Sitarang) over west-central, east-central Bay of Bengal by October 24. According to the department, this cyclone is likely to cross the Odisha coast and reach West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts on October 25.

New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a big update on Cyclone Sitarang, rising from the Bay of Bengal and moving towards the Odisha coast. The department says that after coming to the Odisha coast, the cyclone will cross it and move towards the West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts. The Meteorological Department has not issued any major weather-related warning in the area on October 23. However, there is a possibility of rain due to the storm in the coastal districts of Odisha from the morning of 24 October.

According to the bulletin issued by the IMD’s Bhubaneswar center, a low pressure area had formed over South Andaman Sea, North Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of southeast Bay of Bengal on Thursday morning. Due to which this cyclone is likely to move west-northwestwards. It is estimated that a medium pressure area is likely to form over east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal around October 22 and a high pressure area on October 23.

According to Meteorological Scientists (IMD), this high pressure area is likely to turn northwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm (Cyclone Sitarang) over west-central, east-central Bay of Bengal by October 24. According to the department, this cyclone is likely to cross the Odisha coast and reach West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts on October 25.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the impact of the cyclone, there may be heavy rain at one or two places in Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khorda districts on 23 October. The next day i.e. Diwali is expected to rain heavily in Puri. The Meteorological Department has advised that there is a possibility of high waves in the sea due to this cyclone, so fishermen are advised not to go for deep sea fishing from 23 October. The fishermen who have gone into the deep sea have also been advised to return to the shore by 22 October.

At the same time, there is no possibility of rain in North India including Delhi NCR. For the time being, the weather will remain dry and gradually the temperature will drop, due to which the cold will increase during the day and night. By the end of this month, people may need to remove blankets. At the same time, from next month, he will have to remove the jersey to avoid the ditch in the night and day.
