Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry passed away in a road accident in Palghar, Mumbai. Palghar Police said that former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a car accident at around 3 pm in Palghar area of Maharashtra.
Mumbai: Industrialist Cyrus Mistry’s death has sent shockwaves across the nation. Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a car accident at 3 pm on Sunday. His accident happened due to the collision of the car in the divider. Eyewitnesses said that Cyrus Mistry and four other people in the car with him were going towards Palghar. Then his car had an accident after colliding with the divider built before the bridge.
After the accident, he was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has asked the police to conduct a detailed investigation into the accident.
Eyewitnesses told how the accident happened
Witnesses said a woman was driving the vehicle and the driver suddenly lost control. Four people were sitting in the car. Cyrus was going from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car. In this accident, the death of two people in the car is being said, one of whom is also Cyrus. The incident is being told around three o’clock in the middle. The director of his company has confirmed his death.
According to the information received, there were three more people in the car with Cyrus Mistry, whose names are being told as Jehangir Dinshaw Pandol, Anahita Pandol, Darius Pandol. Of these, Cyrus Mistry and Jahangir Pandol died, after which the remaining two people have been admitted to the hospital. where he is undergoing treatment.
According to the Palghar Police of Mumbai, the Mercedes car collided with a divider near Charoti at 3 o’clock today in an accident. Four people were aboard, out of which two people died on the spot and two people got serious injuries.
A Kasa police station officer said the accident occurred at Charoti Naka on the Surya river bridge under the Kasa police station limits.
The body of Mistry has been shifted to the Kasa Rural Hospital for postmortem.
Deputy CM Fadnavis expressed grief
The body of Cyrus Mistry is in a government hospital in Casa. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) is being filed by the police as per the procedure. On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed deep sorrow and surprised at the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry. He spoke to the DGP and directed a detailed investigation into the accident.
