According to police official, it suspects that these people committed suicide by mutual consent. According to reports, Mahadevaswami (45), his wife Anitha (38), daughters Chandrakala (17) and Dhanalakshmi (15) were found dead at their home in Chamundipuram. Mahadevaswamy had a vegetable shop in Bandipalaya, Mysore.
According to the police, the neighbors had found the door of that house locked for two days. After this they got suspicious and informed the police. A police officer said, “The front door of the house was locked from inside. So we opened the back door and we found them dead. Among all four, one was found hanging from a noose, who seems to be the elder daughter.
Others were found dead on the floor. He said that the owner of this house lives on the first floor, while Mahadevaswamy’s family was living on the ground floor as tenants for the last two months.
The police believe that the deaths may have occurred 48 hours earlier. They are investigating the possibility of a suicide pact, but no firm conclusions have been reached yet.
Mahadevaswamy was a vegetable vendor in the nearby area of Bandipalya. The family had been living in the rented house for the past two months.
The police are still trying to piece together the sequence of events related to the death. They are also interviewing neighbors and anyone else who knew the family.
