Actually, the rain in the districts of Varanasi, Azamgarh and Mirzapur division of UP on Wednesday afternoon brought relief to the people from humidity and heat, but during this time 11 people died due to lightning. Apart from this, five people also died due to lightning in Mainpuri. According to the report, 12 deaths occurred in Pratapgarh, seven in Sultanpur, six in Chandauli, five in Mainpuri, three in Amethi, five in Prayagraj, two each in Kanpur Dehat and Hamirpur due to lightning. Apart from this, one death each has been recorded in Ballia, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh, Mahoba, Jalaun, Unnao, Auraiya and Etawah.
