New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Wazirpur area of Delhi. On Tuesday, police said that a man allegedly stabbed his two children and attempted to die by suicide in the the national capital, the police said . In this incident, a 2-year-old child died and a 6-year-old child was admitted to the hospital.
This incident happened in Bharat Nagar area of national capital. According to the information received, a man named 36-year-old Rakesh took this step after a fight with his wife. The police said that the accused person was under the influence of alcohol while committing the crime due to a family fight.
Police said that he slashed the throats of both his children and then stabbed himself with a knife. A child died in this incident. A child and accused father are undergoing treatment in hospital. They said that Rakesh, a resident of J J Colony, is an alcoholic and unemployed.
In a statement, police further said,”Rakesh had an argument with his wife on Monday night and tried to kill their children, aged two and five. Later, he tried to commit suicide.” He added Further investigation into the matter is underway.
