New Delhi: Three people, including two school children, were hospitalized after they sustained injuries following a knife incident in Delhi’s Narela area, police said on Saturday.
According to the police, they received a PCR call that a man had attacked two boys with a knife at Ramdev Chowk.
The victims were identified as 11-year-old Chaman and Rajesh, while the accused was identified as 23-year-old Vinay.
Police said Chaman, a schoolboy, sustained injuries on his back near the left shoulder, while Rajesh, who ran to save him from Vijay’s attack, sustained multiple injuries on his head, face and hand.
According to the police, the accused Vinay, who was mentally unstable, was thrashed and badly injured by the people.
All three have been admitted to SRC Hospital and their condition is said to be stable. Medico-legal case (MLC) of the victims has been done.
According to the police, there is no specific reason for the stabbing incident and further legal action will be initiated.
