AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has been sent to four-day police remand by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Amanatullah was arrested by the ACB on Friday in the Waqf Board corruption case.
New Delhi: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has been sent to four-day police remand by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. Amanatullah was arrested by the ACB on Friday in the Waqf Board corruption case. The ACB raided four places close to the AAP MLA. During this, 24 lakh rupees in cash, a weapon and some cartridges were recovered from there.
The ACB on Friday raided four places of close associates of AAP MLAs in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment in the Delhi Waqf Board. After this Amanatullah was arrested. Hamid Ali’s property was also included in the places where the ACB raided.
Earlier today, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan to appear in Delhi court. Before this appearance, he has given a statement that nothing has been found during the raids in his house. He says that there is nothing in the FIR against him. AAP MLA Khan says that efforts are being made to implicate him unnecessarily and defame the Aam Aadmi Party. He has alleged that efforts are being made to intimidate without any reason.
AAP MLA from Okhla, Delhi, Khan has been arrested in connection with alleged irregularities in the two-year-old Waqf Board Recruitment. Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Branch (Delhi ACB) has taken this action against AAP MLA Khan. It is alleged that Amanat recruited his acquaintances in the Waqf Board. In which 22 out of 32 employees are from Okhla assembly. Of these, 5 are his relatives.
On the arrest of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also targeted him without naming BJP. He has said in his tweet that earlier these people arrested Satyendra Jain. Despite being asked several times by the court, these people have not been able to present any evidence. Kejriwal said that then these people raided Manish’s house, they did not find anything there too, now Amanatullah has been arrested. CM Kejriwal said that he will now arrest many more MLAs. He said that they seem to be facing a lot of trouble in Gujarat.
